Monday, 17 November 2014

India’s National Investigation Agency team, headed by Director General Sharad Kumar, arrived in Dhaka on Monday. The Air India flight carrying the four-member team landed at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at 10:35am, said an immigration official. The agency have been investigating militant networks after the October 2 blast at a house in Burdwan town in India’s West Bengal state which left two killed. That, Indian investigators say, had been turned into a factory for making Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) by militant from Bangladesh’s banned outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). The team during their 2-day visit will hold meetings ‘with relevant authorities of Bangladesh’ as part of ongoing bilateral security cooperation between the neighbours, according to bdnews24.com.
