India's shooter Rathod creates new record

India's ace shooter Surendra Singh Rathod wrote his name in the record book when he created new record in the 50m rifle three position in the 11th South Asian Games on the way to his third gold, reports BSS.
Indians captured two out of two gold to end their campaign in shooting on a high note by pocketing two gold and one bronze on the concluding day of shooting to sign off with 19-9-5.
He set his supremacy in the 50m rifle three positions (3x40) individual event. Rathod clinched his fourth gold in the ongoing SAG shooting event.
Hariom Singh and Devesh Panwar were the other two members of the India team that clinched the 50m rifle three positions gold.
The Army man, Rathod, who had earlier bagged two gold medals -- individual and team -- in the 50m rifle pistol event also with a record score of 593.
