Indo-Bangla joint venture to boost knowledge industry of Bangladesh

A local publishing house has taken a fresh move to help the local English books publishing industry reach a new height.
"Under the renewed move, a day-long interactive workshop on Effective English Language Teaching, organised by Orient Blackswan Pvt Ltd, India with assistance of Nabarun Publication, Dhaka was held in the city Saturday," Mozibur Rahman, Managing Director, Nabarun Pulbications told the FE.
Prof. Arpita Banerjee, now working as Corporate Language Trainer and Examiner, British Council, Kolkata was the facilitator and resource person of the workshop.
Mr Mozibur coordinated the session and provided all the support for the successful implementation of the workshop.
He said another similar programme will be held in Chittagong today (Monday).
Over 100 teachers from well-known English medium schools in Bangladesh participated in the Dhaka workshop.
The main focus of the highly interactive workshop was on developing professional skills in teachers of English in view of the challenges and problems faced in the modern-day classroom. Various aspects of methods and approaches used in Effective English Language Teaching, materials and classroom managements procedures were discussed.
"Since there is no alternative to learn the quality education through English books, we took a joint move with a reputed English books publishing company of India few years back and our collaboration will continue," Mr Mozib added.
