Indo-Bangla ODI series: A test for the Tigers
Friday, 6 June 2014
The Indian national cricket team will tour Bangladesh soon. India's tour will consist of only three one-day international matches. The outcome of the series will be very interesting. India has opted for resting their main players. This will surely reduce the attraction of the series as the cricket-loving people of Bangladesh will be deprived of watching the Indian stars like Dhoni, Kohli and Shikar Dhawan playing. The Indian selectors have taken the Tigers lightly in view of their immediate past performance. We can not blame the Indian selectors for taking such a decision and they must have thought of giving the youngsters a chance. The young players of India will be eager to impress their selectors, and hence they will put their heart and soul into the matches. The Tigers, therefore, should not suffer from complacency. We are sure all the matches will be played in front of a packed crowd. The series will give the Tigers an opportunity to erase their bitter memories of the recent past. Day by day cricket is gaining more popularity in our country. Even in rural areas we see the children playing and enjoying cricket. Cricket is no more the game of the aristocrats, it has now become a game of the mass people. I hope the Tigers will play positive cricket and bring glory for the country.
