Indo-Bangla trade fair 2011 begins today

The second Indo-Bangla Trade Fair 2011, organised by India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and supported by High Commission of India in Dhaka, will begin at Pan Pacific Sonargaon today. The three-day fair is being managed by Triune Exhibition and Event Management Services Ltd. (TEEMS).
Dilip Barua, Minister for Industries, will formally inaugurate the fair at a ceremony to be held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel today at 10.30am. S Hiato, Minister for industry and Government of Mizoram, India, A K Azad, President FBCCI and Rajeev Singh, Director General, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) will be present as the special guests while Rajeet Mitter, Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh will attend the ceremony as the Guest of Honour. More than 40 leading Indian and Bangladeshi companies will display their products and services in the fair. A seminar on "Strengthening Indo-Bangladesh Business Ties: North-East India Perspective" will be held today (Thursday, May 5) at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka. Dr. Mashiur Rahman, Advisor to the Prime Minister, will grace the seminar as the chief guest while S Hiato, Minister for Industry, Mizoram Government, India, Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General Indian Chamber of Commerce and Rajeet Mitter, Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh will be present as the special guests. HSBC, Basundhara Group, Airtel, Marico, and Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) are patronising the fair as Sponsors.
