Indonesia to achieve 6.6 pc growth in Q1

JAKARTA, Feb 26 (Xinhua): Indonesian Financial Minister Agus Martowardoyo said that Indonesia's growth might reach 6.40 per cent to 6.60 per cent in the first quarter this year, spurred by improving government's income and foreign investments, local media reported here Saturday.
"Indonesia recorded tremendous growth at 6.10 per cent last year with growth in fourth quarter stood at 6.90 per cent.
Growth in the first quarter this year may reach 6.40 per cent to 6.60 per cent," Mr Agus was quoted by the detik.com as saying.
Mr Agus said that government needs to pay attention on global inflation that tends to rise following upheaval in energy sector due to the political crisis in Libya and Egypt.
