Indonesian investment sought in tourism, energy sectors

Commerce Minister Faruk Khan made a clarion call to the Indonesian businessmen to invest in tourism and energy sectors in Bangladesh by utilising the investment facilities offered by the government.
He said Bangladesh is the right place for investment as it offers fresh facilities to attract foreign direct investment.
The commerce minister was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the first of its kind Indonesian trade fair titled 'INTEGRATED EXPO 2010' at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city here Tuesday.
Some 22 business organisations along with Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are participating in the fair where products of tourism, handicraft, readymade garments, furniture, leather, motor and cosmetics are being showcased in total 28 stalls.
Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka has organised the three-day expo with the theme: Discover Indonesia, the Beauty Unlimited' and organised a fashion show and cultural programme on the inaugural day.
