Industrialist Deen Mohammad passes away

Deen Mohammad, a noted industrialist and founder chairman of the City Bank, passed away due to old age complications at a city hospital at around 1.00 am on Tuesday.
Also the chairman of Phoenix Group, Deen Mohammad, 83, left his wife, a son, two daughters and a host of well-wishers.
His namaz-e-janaza was held at Lalbagh Shahi Mosque after Zuhr prayer.
He made contribution to the country's economy through establishing a good number of business entities under the Phoenix Group of Industries that include financial institutions, insurance, brokerage house and textile mills.
Born on August 3, 1938, Deen Mohammad started business in 1960.
In addition to his affiliation with the business, he was also involved with socio-cultural and sports organisations.
Various business entities, trade bodies and dignitaries have expressed profound shock and sorrow at the demise of the industrialist.
The President of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Sheikh Fazle Fahim sent condolence message to the mourning family, a statement said.
