IndustriAll secy gen resigns on health grounds

Secretary General of IndustriAll Bangladesh Council (IBC) Roy Ramesh Chandra tendered his resignation on Monday on health grounds.
"My health is not going well and I am not in a position to take stress which is very much needed to carry out activities of IBC," Mr Roy said in an e-mail to the IBC chairman.
The mail also mentioned that he had raised the issue in some of the previous IBC meetings.
The IBC SG also confirmed his resignation.
However, it is not confirmed whether IndustriAll accepted his resignation or not until filing of the report at 8:0 pm on the day.  
IndustriAll Global Union is one of the signatories to Accord - a platform of European and North American retailers, brands and trade unions, which was formed to work towards a safe and healthy readymade garment industry in Bangladesh.
