Industry owners asked to set up ETP by June 30

The government Sunday directed owners of industries, which are yet to set up effluent treatment plant (ETP), to complete its installation in their respective industrial units by June 30 next for the sake of protecting the environment from pollution. The decision was taken at an inter-ministerial meeting with officials of concerned ministries, divisions, representatives from Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), Bangladesh Garment Manufactures and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and civil society members at the conference room of Ministry of Environment and Forest in the city. — BSS
