INFS, Nestle join hands for nutrition awareness

Dhaka University Institute of Nutrition and Food Science (INFS) will coordinate a 'Nutrition Awareness Programme', which is part of Nestle Healthy Kids Global Programme, said a press release.
Nestle Bangladesh Limited signed a memorandum of understanding in this connection with INFS represented by Nazrul Islam Khan, professor of the institute.
This training module jointly prepared by Nestle and INFS nutrition experts will be initially conducted in the schools of Gazipur district and will cover 1500 students in the year 2010.
Nestle Bangladesh has always taken active participation in sharing its nutrition knowledge through nutrition experts with the health professionals, general people and consumers of Bangladesh.
Since Nestle started manufacturing its products in Bangladesh, the company has been involved in taking part in activities such as supply of clean drinking water for the village schools, sanitation for the girl students and distribution of computer in the village schools.
