Initiative for selling hygienic Iftar items lauded in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Jul 1 (BSS): The common people from all walks in the society highly lauded the initiative of selling hygienic Iftar items throughout the holy month of Ramadan at thirteen reputed hotels and restaurants in the divisional city.
A large number of the people thronged to the pure and hygienic Iftar selling centres since afternoon on the first day of the holy Ramadan month on Monday to purchase their Iftar items of own choice at reasonable and fair price.
Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) in association with Rangpur District Hotel and Restaurant Owners' Association (RDHROA) ceremonially launched the programme from (yesterday) Monday at thirteen pure and hygienic Iftar selling centres in the city.
Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) and valiant freedom fighter Alhaj Sharfuddin Ahmed Jhantu launched these centres at a ceremony arranged at the RCCI Board Room with RCCI President Alhaj Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu in the chair.
Civil Surgeon Dr Mozammel Hossain addressed the ceremony as the special guest while President of RDHROA Abdul Mazid Khokan and District sanitary Inspector Mahbubar Rahman spoke the occasion.
Senior Vice-president of RCCI Mostoba Hossain Ripon delivered welcome speech narrating objectives of the initiative taken to ensure production and supply of the pure, safe and hygienic Iftar items free from chemical colours and prepared in hygienic conditions using pure edible oil and other inputs.
The hygienic Iftar sales centres are Boishakhi Restaurant, Chandni Restaurant, Kosturi Restaurant and Parvez Hotel at Medical Mour, New Star Hotel at Dhap, Mouban Hotel and Mohua Bread & Confectionary at Katchari Bazaar, Mithu Hotel at Jummapara, Moubhasha Hotel at Paira Chattar, Khaleque Hotel at Central Road, Falguni Hotel and Randhuni Restaurant at Central Bus Terminal and Bhai Bhai Restaurant at Mahiganj Satmatha areas in the city.
