Injured ansar man dies at DMCH

A member of Ansar and Village Defence Party, injured in an attack in Noakhali during the second phase of upazila polls, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday morning. The dead is Jamaluddin, 35, a member of Ansar. Abdus Salam, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonaimuri police station said he was injured in an attack by a gang of miscreants during his election duty at Dayinnapur Women Madrasha center at Sonapur union under Sonaimuri upazila on Thursday. He was first admitted to Noakhali General Hospital and then shifted to the DMCH as his condition deteriorated. He succumbed to his injuries at DMCH around 3:30 am today, he said, according to UNB.
