Injured cop dies at DMCH

A policeman, injured in a road accident in Jatrabari area in the city on February 19, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Wednesday afternoon. The dead is: Mokhlesur Rahman, a constable of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP)’s traffic wing (Traffic-East). He hailed from Char Nandi under Shahjadpur upazila in Sirajganj district. Mokhlesur was on duty at Jatrabari intersection when a truck suddenly hit him around 9pm on February 19 and fled the scene hurriedly, leaving him injured. He was rushed to the DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries at the Intensive Care Unite (ICU) around 1pm, according to a news agency.
