Injured Krishak League leader dies

A local Krishak League leader, who was injured in an attack by his rivals three days ago, died in Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Monday. Khairul Islam, president of Teligati unit Krishak League, was hacked with local weapons by a group of miscreants when he was going to his home at Gourinagar village in Netrakona from Teligati Bazar around 8:30pm on last Friday. He was taken to Maymensingh Medical College Hospital in a critical condition immediately after the incident where he succumbed to his injuries around 5am on Monday. The body of the deceased has been sent to his village home after the autopsy, said Atpara Police Station officer-in-charge Faruq Ahmed, according to a news agency.
