Inqilab journo Atique placed on 2-day remand

A court here on Monday granted a two-day police remand for Inqilab journalist Ahmed Atique in a case filed for running a “false” report in the vernacular daily. The court also rejected the bail petitions of two other journalists of the Inqilab, who are also in custody. Police on Thursday arrested Ahmed Aqitue, diplomatic correspondent of the Dainik Inqilab, its News Editor Robiullah Robi and Deputy Chief Reporter Rafiq Mohammad from the Inqilab office in the city on charge of publishing a ‘baseless’ report in the Bangla daily recently, according to private TV channels.
