Monday, 23 December 2024

Inquilab Mancha, a non-political cultural organisation comprising former and current students of Dhaka University (DU), has staged a sit-in outside the residence of the Chief Justice (CJ) to press for their three-point demand, including ensuring the safety of the July fighters.
A group of leaders and activists from Inquilab Mancha gathered in front of the National Museum in the capital's Shahbag and held a brief rally there around 12:00 noon on Sunday, reports UNB.
Following the rally, they brought out a protest procession that marched towards Kakrail Mosque and Matshya Bhaban.
Police intervened as the protesters attempted to proceed to the Chief Justice's residence.
Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, the spokesperson for Inquilab Mancha, placed their three-point demands including cancelation of Awami League's registration soon and protecting patriotic students and citizens from the secret killings carried out by Awami League and ensuring complete security for all the fighters who participated in the July-August uprising to oust Sheikh Hasina.
