Inquiry why none passed from 1,937 schools in primary terminal exams

SHERPUR, Dec 26 (UNB): A parliamentary committee will inquire into the reason why none of the students from 1,937 schools succeeded in the primary education terminal examinations the results of which were announced on December 22.
A three-member sub-committee of the parliamentary standing committee on Education Ministry has been formed with Atiur Rahman Atiq as the convener to find out the reasons for the nil results of those primary schools.
Atiq told the news agency that none of the students could succeed from 1,937 schools out of 81,372 in the primary terminal examinations. The committee has been entrusted to find the reasons and report with recommendations within two months.
The schools from where none of the students passed are 159 government primary schools, 290 registered non-government primary schools, 120 community primary schools, 33 BRAC primary schools, 8 Shishu Kalyan primary schools and 1,036 Anand primary schools.
