Inter-college debate contest to begin today

BRAC Advocacy unit will organise a six-day inter-college debate competition at Asiatic Society in the city from today (Wednesday), reports UNB.
Sixteen city colleges will take part in the competition with a slogan 'Exploring the path of poverty eradication through debating'.
Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique will inaugurate the occasion.
A colourful rally with the participation of educationists and eminent people will also be brought out prior to the competition. The competition will conclude on November 8.
Meanwhile, addressing a press conference at Asiatic Society Tuesday, BRAC officials sought cooperation from journalists for making the programme a success.
Sheikh Mujibul Haque, manager, Advocacy unit of BRAC, Mashiur Rahman, senior social communicator of BRAC Advocacy unit, Halim Mia, policy analyst of BRAC Advocacy unit, addressed the press conference.
