Inter district Women\\\'s V’ball begins Nov 5

The Popular Life Insurance Inter-District Women' s Volleyball Tournament will begin on November 5 at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium in the city, reports UNB.
The tournament was earlier scheduled to start today (Thursday), but has been deferred by a week due to unavoidable circumstances.
Home Secretary Dr Mozammel Haque will inaugurate the two-day meet, organised by Bangladesh Volleyball Federation.
Fifteen teams-defending champions Rajshahi, runners-up Rajbari, Pabna, Sylhet, Kushtia, Tangail, Manikganj, Kishoreganj, Satkhira, Khulna, Narail, Chittagong, Rangpur, Chuadanga and Magura DSAs-will compete in the meet.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Ashiqur Rahman Miku disclosed the details of the meet at a press conference at the federation conference room Wednesday.
Chairman of the Women's Volleyball Committee and Additional Police Super Syeda Zannat Ara, Managing Director of the meet's sponsor Popular Life Insurance Limited BM Yousuf Ali also spoke on the occasion.
Volleyball Federation vice-president Mustafa Kamal, joint secretary Azizur Rahman, treasurer Sirajul Islam, member Abdul Hannan, vice-president of Women's Volleyball Committee Nayana Chowdhury and committee secretary Nibedita Das were present.
The sponsor will award Tk 10,000 each to the three best players of the meet.
