Inter-University Tech Fiesta 2016 held at KUET

'Make Your Vision Come True'- bearing this motto in mind, Inter-University Tech Fiesta 2016 was organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). It was a two-day long programme, held from 22nd to 23rd January, 2016. More than 1000 students from 30 different universities of Bangladesh attended this fiesta and made it a huge success. The programme included such events as Battle of Robot, IT Contest, Rubik's Cube Challenge, Sudoku Contest,  Hardware and Software Exhibition and Speaker Session.
The inaugural speech was delivered by the chief guest and honourable Vice Chancellor of KUET Professor Dr. Muhammed Alamgir. Professor Dr. Md. Osman Goni (Dean, Faculty of EEE) and Professor Dr. Ashraful Ghani Bhuiyan (Head, Department of EEE) also motivated the students to make our country a better technology backed one in near future.
Duel of Robot happened to be the most glamorous event. The auditorium totally filled up with avid audiences during this event. Participants showed their skills by crossing the obstacles, bridges, loops and zigzag patterns with their robots in the shortest possible time. In the Hardware and Software Exhibition, students showed how they could make something new, something better, something cheaper with the existing technology. In the Sudoku Contest, Rubik's Cube Challenge and IT Contest, participants showed their expertise in the fields of mathematical logic and information technology. Contestants presented their scientific thoughts through different block diagrams and images at the poster exhibition.
The Speaker Session was very helpful for the students. Here they had the opportunity to learn about the hurdles and competitions of the modern world of science and technology from the speakers who have touched the height of glory in their respective fields.  Subail-Bin-Alam (Country Representative and Manager of Sarens Group), Dr. M. M. A. Hashem (Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, KUET),  Md. Sayfullah (CEO, SinePulse GmbH), Mr. Munir Hasan (General Secretary, BdOSN) and  Utpal Shuvro (Chief Sports Editor, Daily Prothom Alo) were the honourable speakers.
The month-long effort of the students and teachers of the Department of EEE of  KUET made the event successful. Energypac Power Generation Ltd. was the main sponsor of the event. ABB Group and Doreen Power Generation and Systems Ltd. were the co-sponsors of the event and the Tech Fiesta was chilled by Polar Ice Cream.
These types of programmes always help students to achieve a better depth of their understanding and at the same time motivate them to invent and innovate.
