Inter-varsity cultural fest at CUET begins

CHITTAGONG, May 17: The first ever interuniversity cultural festival started at the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology today at the CUET campus.
The three-day festival organized by the CUET began with grand cultural rally in the morning and will continue until Saturday, participated by different cultural organizations from 22 universities of the country.
CUET vice chancellor Professor Md Jahangir Alam inaugurated the rally as chief guest while vice chancellor and founder of USTC (University of Science and Technology, Chittagong) National Professor Dr Nurul Islam attended the function as the guest of honour.
Presided over by Dr Abdul Wazed, advisor of Jayadhwani, a CUET-based cultural forum, the function was addressed by Dr Hasanul Islam Reza and Basharat Shafi, a USTC student from Kashmir.
A tree plantation programme was also organized by Green for Peace, an environment organization.
