Intermediate classes in old colleges
Tuesday, 2 June 2009
SOME 2,794 colleges across the country can admit 4,63,000 students only while 7,50,538 students passed the SSC exams this year.
To minimise the problem of admission-seekers, the government should reopen intermediate classes in the old colleges like Carmichael College, Rangpur, Rajshahi College, Rajshahi and some other colleges across the country.
It would reduce the pressure for admission that the well-known colleges in Dhaka face.
The authorities should look into the matter and take action immediately.
