FE Report
After Eid the break market opened on a firm note with prices for good varieties being fully firm. Internal buyers were active particularly the Loose tea buyers whilst there was some interest from Pakistan.
CTG LEAF: 27,850 packages and (357 packages of Old Season) met with quite a strong demand.
BROKENS: Well made good liquoring Brokens particularly the smaller varieties were well competed for and were generally a little easier and these sold between Tk 83.50 and Tk 86.50. Other descriptions were easier with quality. However, large Brokens were generally discounted and sold at Tk 2.00 to Tk 3.00 easier than last.
FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings met with a strong market and were fully firm to slightly dearer and these sold between Tk 84.00 and Tk 87.50. Medium and other types were easier by Tk 1.00 to Tk 2.00.
CTC DUST: 3,977 packages and (110 packages of Old Season) on offer met with a good demand but at mostly easier rates. A few lines of good liquoring types were about firm. All others eased slightly in line with quality. CDs were also a lower market easing by Tk 5.00 to Tk 10.00. Blenders lent a fairly good support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.
