International Migrants Day observed in dists

MAGURA, Dec 18: International Migrants Day was observed in Magura on Thursday.
District administration in association with BRAC arranged different programme in observance of the day. They brought out a rally in the town in morning.
Magura deputy commissioner Md Mahabubur Rahman was the chief guest in the meeting while BRAC coordinator Rokeya Begum delivered the welcome address with Magura additional deputy commissioner Shahadat Hossein in the chair.
The programmes ended with staging of a drama at Asaduzzaman auditorium.
Our Correspondent from Gopalganj says: International Migrants Day-2014 was observed in a befitting manner today (Thursday) in Gopalganj. District administration and District Employment and Manpower Office, Gopalganj jointly organised the programme.
A rally, discussion meeting, child art competition, prize distribution and documentary film show on migration included the programme.
Md. Khalilur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Gopalganj and Md. Mizanur Rahman, Superintendent of Police (SP), Gopalganj were present as the chief and special guests respectively.
