International Youth Day today

The International Youth Day will be observed today (Sunday) in a befitting manner in the country as elsewhere in the world, reports BSS.
The theme of this year's day is " Be seen, Be heard: Youth Participation for Development".
The Youth Development Directorate and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have chalked out an elaborate programme to observe the day. The programme includes a rally and a seminar, a press release said.
The rally will begin from National Museum at Shahbag at 8.00am and will end at Matsha Bhaban. Concerned government officials, members of the youth organisations, trainees of various training courses, non- government organisations and Youth Development Directorate will take part in the rally.
On the day, a seminar will be held in the conference room of Juba Bhaban in the city at 11am.
Acting Youth Secretary Dr Mohammad Golam Mostafa Talukder will attend the seminar as the chief guest with the Director General of Youth Development Directorate Mohammad Ismail Hossain in the chair.
UNFPA Representative in Bangladesh Arthur Erken will attend the seminar as a special guest.
