Internet for politicians

Monday, 22 December 2008

The politicians, traditionally symbolise sacrifice and dedication. Many political leaders don't like to consider politics as their profession. Rather they prefer to call their activities as social work for the development of community or society. They want to render their service to reach the maximum number of people, who actually need it. People, irrespective of sex, race, religion, rich or poor, need the service of the elected parliament members (MPs) in their respective constituency. People living abroad also need their service.
It is not always possible for all to meet their respective MP physically to get things done. Nowadays many of the jobs can be done quickly using the Internet. But the internet is just a technology tool, it cannot function by itself. It needs its master's command. In such a situation, there is no other alternative than to learn how to use the internet. The MPs should, therefore, be conversant with, and get the habit of, using Internet or email services. As voters, it is our expectation that all the MPs should use internet and give us their email addresses. The MPs will thus enable us to get their service at the shortest possible time for which they will be respected by the community and the voters. This initiative would help them fulfill their election pledges.
