Int'l Chess tourney begins

The Six Seasons International Chess Tourna-ment, sponsored by European Standard School and in cooperation with Bangladesh Chess Federa-tion, began Sunday in Nayaranganj Club Limited auditorium, reports UNB.
In the day's 1st round matches, national woman champion WFM Shamima Akter Liza drew with FM Joydeep Dutta of India. Liza played with white pieces in Semi-Benoni match. Liza missed clear winning position and finally drew with Joydeep after 54 moves.
