Intra-BCL clash leaves five hurt in RUET

RAJSHAHI, Apr 22 (UNB): Five activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were injured in a factional clash at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) early Thursday.
Police said a scuffle broke out between two factions of BCL at Shaheed Lieutenant Selim Hall at 12:30am over establishing supremacy.
Later, both the groups equipped with lethal weapons attacked each other, leaving five activists injured from both sides.
Four of the injured were admitted to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
On information, the police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
Additional police were deployed on the campus to avert further clash.
