Intra-party clash leaves four JCD men injured

KERANIGANJ, Mar 22 (UNB): Four Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists were injured by their rival group in Jagannath University campus today (Saturday) following beating of a student two days ago.
Varsity sources said Jagannath University JCD President ABM Parvez and his supporters attacked General Secretary Talukder Khokon and his group on the campus at about 11am.
They beat up Khokon and his supporters, leaving four injured. Injured second year student Faruk and third year student Kazal were admitted to a local clinic while two others given first aid.
Additional police were deployed on the campus to avert further conflict.
Local sources said Khokon beat up Mithu, a second year student of the university and a supporter of Parvez, and drove him out of his shop on Thursday that led to today's attack.
