Inu asks US envoy to advise Khaleda to shun militancy

Sunday, 20 July 2014

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu asked the US envoy Saturday to suggest BNP chief Khaleda Zia shunning militancy, patronising Jamaat-Hefazat and avoiding violence before suggesting her to take part in election, reports BSS.
"We hope the US envoy in Bangladesh would give suggestion to the BNP chairperson to avoid violence and support for the Jamaat-e-Islami first before giving suggestion to participate in the election", said the minister who is also the president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD). The minister came up with this comment at Kushtia Circuit House in Kushtia in the morning while he was speaking on the recent comment made by newly appointed US ambassador in Bangladesh Bernicat on holding election on January 5.
"We will preserve the constitutional process of the country and we need no help from the diplomats in this regard, he said, adding that but why those diplomats did not make any question when Begum Zia created atrocities in the country''.
