Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu Saturday asked the US envoy to suggest BNP chief Begum Khaleda Zia to shun militancy, stop patronising Jamaat-Hefazat and avoid violence before suggesting her to take part in election. "We hope the US envoy in Bangladesh would give suggestion to the BNP chairperson to avoid violence and withdraw support for the Jamaat-e-Islami first before urging her to take part in the election", said the minister who is also the president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD). The minister came up with this comment at Kushtia Circuit House here Saturday morning while he replying to a query on the recent comment made by newly-appointed US ambassador in Bangladesh Bernicat.  Later, the minister inaugurated the newly-constructed Mirpur Upazila Auditorium complex at 11.30am, according to a news agency.
