Inu defends National Broadcasting Policy

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Monday said the National Broadcasting Policy 2014 has been framed with an aim to make media broadcasting in the country more dynamic instead of restricting it. “This is a step towards a new era for the media. This will ensure unlimited information flow for the journalists and their security besides the freedom of the citizens,” he told reporters at the Secretariat. The news being published with claims that the draft policy will restrict the media is not correct, the Information Minister said, according to a news agency.
