KUSTHIA, Dec 12 (BSS): Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu refuted Friday BNP's allegation of repression on them (BNP men) saying that their leaders and activists are enjoying all sorts of privileges and opportunities under the purview of democracy.
"It's absolutely false that government machinery is resorting to repressive acts on BNP leaders and workers. On the contrary, they are enjoying all sorts of privileges in line with democracy," he said while talking to local journalists after a view-exchange meeting with the teachers of Bheramara Degree College.
Inu, also the president of Jatiya Sanjtantrik Dal (JSD), said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda is frequently speaking in vain that they would launch a tougher movement against the government.
"It's quite impossible to fix the timetable to unseat this government like that of the trial of war criminals which may not be scheduling any national day," he continued.
"Movement can be possible only through mass people's participation but they (BNP) have no such involvement," he said.
