BNP senior leader Gayeshwar Chandra Roy alleged Thursday that Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has been made minister to hurl abuses at BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, reports UNB.
"Awami League itself is responsible for the killing of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman… Many ministers who are close to Sheikh Hasina, especially Hasanul Haq Inu, had played a vital role in creating the ground for August 15 (assassinations). Now he has been made a minister to hurl abuses at Khaleda Zia," he said.
Gayeshwar, also a BNP standing committee member, came up with the remarks while addressing a discussion titled 'The rol1e of Khaleda Zia in resorting democracy' arranged by Swadhinata Forum at the Jatiya Press Club, marking the birthday of the BNP chief.
Defending the celebration of Khaleda's birthday on August 15, he said, "The death day of a famous person can be the birthday of another prominent person. One also has the right to celebrate his or her birthday."
