Inu to join internet governance meet in Brazil

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu will join a global meeting on the future of the Internet Governance slated for April 23 and 24 in Brazil. The minister will lead a five-member delegation of Bangladesh at the meeting titled ‘NETmudial 2014’ to be held at Sao Paulo, the largest city in Brazil, said a press release of the ministry on Thursday. NETmundial will be jointly organised by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee and ‘1Net’, a forum that brings together international entities of the various stakeholders involved in Internet governance. Hasanul Haq Inu, also the chairperson of Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF) established in 2006 will join the NETmundial as a member of the Council of Governmental Advisers, according to a news agency.
