Invest in Bhutan hydropower plant: Pema

Bhutanese High Commissioner Pema Choden on Monday urged Bangladeshi businessmen to invest in hydropower and agriculture sector in Bhutan. "Bangladeshi investors will be benefited through selling power to other countries along with India under Free Trade Agreement (FTA)," she said, while talking with Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu at his office in the city. The envoy sought cooperation of the industries minister for encouraging Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to invest in Bhutan. Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu and Bhutanese envoy discussed bilateral issues while Pema appreciated Bangladesh government for development of socioeconomic sector, according to a news agency.
