Investment scene \\\'far better\\\'

The situation in Bangladesh is ‘far better’ for investment than in any earlier time, International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s Deputy Managing Director Naoyuki Shinohara has observed. Besides the ‘friendlier’ environment for investment, IMF’s Deputy Managing Director Naoyuki Shinohara has appreciated the government saying it successfully implemented different development projects. He made the observation during a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office at the Jatiya Sangsad (parliament) building. During the meeting they discussed the ‘implementation process of various development projects’, the Prime Minister’s Press Secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury has said. However, Shinohara said during the meeting that Bangladesh needs to further intensify the monitoring of banking sectors, according to bdnews24.com.
