Abul Khayer, DB Inspector and the investigation officer of the case filed over the killing of Special Branch officer Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman, testified before a tribunal on Tuesday.
Judge Syed Ahmed of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-3 of Dhaka recorded the deposition of the IO as the 37th witness, a news agency report said.
Meanwhile, the tribunal adjourned the hearing till Wednesday following a petition filed by Faruk Ahmed and Mahbubur Rahman Rana, counsels for Oishee Rahman, daughter of the slain couple.
Thirty-six out of 57 witnesses have so far made their deposition before the tribunal, said Public Prosecutor Mahbubur Rahman.
Earlier, police produced Oishee Rahman and two other accused -- Asaduzzaman Jonny and Mizanur Rahman Ronny -- before the court in the morning.
On August 16, 2013, police recovered the bodies of SB Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman from their Chamelibagh residence in the capital.
Later, Oishee surrendered to the police confessing to her involvement in the killing.
Police also arrested her two friends Asaduzzaman and Mizanur and domestic help of their house Khadiza Akhter Sumi in connection with the murder.
Mahfuzur's brother Mohammad Mashiur Rahman Rubel filed a case with Paltan Police Station on August 17.
Abul Khayer, Inspector of Detective Branch of Police, submitted two separate charge-sheets – one again Oishee and her two friends on March 9, 2014, and the other against Sumi as she was then a juvenile.
