IOM mission chief calls on FM

The chief of mission in Bangladesh for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Sarat Chandra Dash Wednesday called on Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the latter's office in the capital.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues relating to migration, especially the safety and security of the Bangladeshi migrant workers in different countries across the world, according to a foreign ministry press release issued in the city.
The IOM mission chief apprised the minister about the activities of the organisation in Bangladesh and its role in incorporating international migrant issue in national development planning and imparting training to the concerned officers in Bangladesh missions abroad.
The minister assured the IOM mission chief of extending all out cooperation in discharging his duties in the country.
