IP cameras to help ease traffic jam, identify criminals: IGP

GAZIPUR, Sept 24, 2014 (BSS) - Installation of internet protocol (IP) cameras replacing the old analogue closed circuit camera televisions at different important points of the country will help to ease the nagging traffic snarl.
Inaugurating the installation ceremony of IP camera at Chandra crossing, Kaliakair in Gazipur today, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hassan Mahmud Khandker also said, "It will also help to identify the criminals and bring them to book."
"IP cameras have been installed at different points for smooth and safe journey of home goers ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puja," he added.
