IPDC FINANCE AND SME FOUNDATION JOIN HANDS TO BOOST SME SECTOR GROWTH

IPDC Finance PLC and the SME Foundation have signed two agreements to expand access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to affordable and convenient financing. IPDC Finance Managing Director Rizwan Dawood Shams and SME Foundation Managing Director Anwar Hossain Chowdhury signed the agreements recently. Commerce and Industries Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir was present as the chief guest and Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Nurun Nahar as the special guest. Chairperson of the SME Foundation Md Obaidur Rahman presided over the event. Under the agreements, loans on easy terms will be provided to productive industries within the SME sector, various business clusters, and women entrepreneurs across the country. The initiative also aims to accelerate economic growth by ensuring low-interest financing for agro-based industries and the food processing sector.
