IPL Final: Kings XI Punjab score 199 against KKR

Kings XI Punjab, riding on a century by Wriddhiman Saha, piled up a mammoth total of 199 runs for 4 in stipulated 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL final at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore Sunday, according to a news agency.
After the dismissal of two reliable batsmen -–famed opener Virender Sehwag (7) and captain George Bailey (1) — cheaply for 30 runs in 5.1 overs, another opener Manan Vohra pairing with wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, carried the team total to a respectable position contributing 129 runs in the 3rd wicket stand.
Manan Vohra hammered a half century scoring 67 runs off just 52 balls featuring six fours and two sixes be fore he was caught and bowled by Piyush Chawla while number four batsman Wriddhiman Saha quick-fired unbeaten 115 runs 55 balls hitting 10 fours and eight sixes.
Piyush Chawla grabbed two wickets for 44 runs in four overs while Umesh Yadav and Sunil Narine took one wicket each conceding 39 and 46 runs respectively.
Bangladesh famed spinner Shakib Al Hasan bowled most economically conceding 26 runs in four overs without grabbing any wicket.
Earlier KKR captain Gautam Gambhir won the toss and decided to bowl first against Kings XI Punjab.
Knight Riders named an unchanged XI from the team that beat Kings XI in the first qualifier to secure a final berth.
But Kings XI made one change, to their seam attack, including L Balaji in place of Sandeep Sharma.
