Iqbal Hossain joins Sonali Bank as DMD

Khan Iqbal Hossain has joined the state-owned Sonali Bank PLC as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) recently, says a press statement.
Prior to his joining, Mr Hossain served as Deputy Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Rupali Bank PLC. He was posted to Sonali Bank through a circular of Financial Institutions Division on July 14.
Mr Hossain started off his banking career as a Senior Officer of Rupali Bank in 1998. Having 27 years of diversified experiences, he held different positions in Rupali Bank, such as branch banking, corporate banking, general banking and head of Credit, Operation, Human Resource Management, Risk Management and Recovery Department.
He is renowned for leadership, visionary goal, innovative ideas and co-operation in SME sector.
He did his graduation and post-graduation in Political Science from the University of Dhaka. He is also a Diploma Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh.
