Iraq dump Maldives by 9-0 in AFC U-19 group A qualifiers

Title aspirant Iraq were in menacing mood as they dump hapless Maldives by 9-0 in their second match of the AFC U-19 group A qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Saturday, reports BSS.
Skipper Ammar Kadhim Meteab, Mohanad Abdulraheem Karrar and Dhurgam Isamel Dawood scored two goals each for the unstoppable Iraqis booters.
Skipper Ammar Kadhim Meteab put Iraq ahead in the 4th minute with a thunderous 25 yarder and two minutes later Mohammad Jabbar doubled the margin with a header from the middle of the box off a Mahdi Kamil shot that fell in front of Jabbar after Maldives custodian Ahmed Fayaz failed to clear a high ball.
Mohammed Abdul Raheem Karrar made it 3-0 in the 23rd minute beating Fayaz in the near post with a neat placing shot from a handshaking distance.
Ali Hussain Fendi who scored twice against Bangladesh scored the 4th in the 34th minute with a side volley that hit the roof of the net after Ammar Kadhim sent him a low pass from the right flank.
Ahmed Abbas Hattab and Mustafa Nadhim Jari saw futile efforts to hit the crosspiece and returned to play in the 36th and 37th minute respectively.
Mohammad Abdul Raheem Karrar scored his second in the 56th minute tapping home from a close range and Dhurgam Ismael Dawood beat Fayaz with 25 yard curved rainbow shot to make the score 6-0 in the 65th minute.
In the 76th minute Mahdi Kamil , Dhurgham Ismael Dawood and skipper Ammar Kadhim scored one goal each to complete the tally.
Iraq earlier beat Bangladesh 6-0 while Maldives conceded their third consecutive defeat after losing to Bangladesh 3-0 and 4-0 to Maldives in the first and second match.
