Islam Group chairman honoured

Chairman of Bengal Development Corporation (BDC), a unit of Islam Group, Manzurul Islam has been honoured with IFAWPCA Gold Medal for his extraordinary achievement in building up the construction sector.
He also received awards for "Special Civil Engineering Contractor" and "Award of Honour".
Minister for Communications Abul Hossain handed over the awards at the concluding session of the 37th IFAWPCA (International Federation of Asia and West Pacific Contractors Association) convention in the city recently, said a press release.
About 233 members from 16 countries attended the function.
Among others, host President of IFAWWPCA Aminul Islam and Secretary Zahir Hossain and President of BACI Rafiqul Islam were present at the convocation.
BDC's stall also got the "Championship Award" in the convention, the release added.
