ISLAMI BANK ORGANISES TRAINING FOR SME ENTREPRENEURS

The closing ceremony of the month-long training on 'Entrepreneurship Development Programme', jointly organised by Bangladesh Bank and Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, was held at the bank's Noakhali Zonal Office on Sunday. The training was conducted under the supervision of the SME & Special Program Department (SME & SPD) of Bangladesh Bank as part of the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The closing ceremony was chaired by Md. Anwar Hossain, Executive Vice President and Head of Noakhali Zone of Islami Bank. Md. Masum Billah, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank attended the event as the chief guest while Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, was present as the special guest. Certificates were awarded to the participating entrepreneurs at the ceremony. Islami Bank Merchant QR services were also provided to the participants, and on-the-spot investment was disbursed to three entrepreneurs. Some 25 selected SNE entrepreneurs from Noakhali, Feni and Lakshmipur districts participated in the training.
