Islami Bank plays vital role in strengthening economy

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has played a significant role in changing the fate of the people, achieving self-reliance and strengthening the entire economy of the country.
IBBL Chairman Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher said this while speaking as the chief guest at the concluding session of 'RDS Field Officers' Foundation Training Course' organised by the bank's Training and Research Academy at its head office in the city recently.
Chaired by IBBL Executive President M Fariduddin Ahmed, the function was attended, among others, by Executive Vice President and Rural Development Division head Md Nurul Islam, senior vice-presidents Md Rafiqul Islam and Md Obaidul Haque, and Assistant Vice President Md Mahboob Alam.
The IBBL has been conducting its activities as the best bank among the private sector banks.
The vital force of the bank is Islami Shariah. Islami Bank is the bank of 140 million people and the investment facilities of the bank's Rural Development Scheme (RDS) are open to all levels of people regardless of religion and race.
He said RDS of the bank is working successfully with a view to alleviating poverty of the rural people. He urged the field officers of the bank to encourage the investment clients to work for the development of the country and to make them conscious of their health and education side by side continuing investment activities.
