Islami Bank signs deal with US exchange house

An agreement on 'Instant Cash Service' was signed recently between Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) and Wall Street Finance LLC of the USA. said a press release.
The signing ceremony was held at the head office of Wall Street Finance LLC in New York, said a press release
IBBL's Deputy Executive President and Head of International Banking Wing Mohd Abdul Mannan, and Chief Executive of Wall Street Finance LLC Ekramul Huq signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the deal, the recipients in Bangladesh will be able to receive the money sent by the expatriates in the USA from any IBBL branch instantly without opening any account with the bank.
IBBL has so far signed instant cash agreement with a total of 26 exchange houses around the globe.
Mohd Abdul Mannan went to the USA to attend the 'Global Leadership Development Programme' organised by the International Centre for Leadership in Finance.
In his interview with different American media, including the Voice of America, Mannan highlighted the role of the Bangladeshi expatriates in the country's economic development.
He also focused on IBBL's contribution to bringing the hard-earned foreign currency of the expatriates into the country through banking channel.
