Islami Ins earns Tk 246.8m net premium

Islami Insurance Bangladesh Limited (IIBL) earned a net premium of Tk 246.80 million (24.68 crore) during the year 2009 and total asset of the company stood at Tk 371.70 million at the same period.
This was disclosed at the 10th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city recently, according to a press release.
Chairman of the board of directors of the company Tofazzal Hossain presided over the meeting.
Also present on the occasion were IIBL Founder Chairman Mohammad Sayeed, Vice Chairman Md Ismail Nawab, Executive Committee Chairman M Tajul Islam, Claims Committee Vice Chairman Md Abdul Halim, Director Mohammad Abdul Hannan, Shariah Council Chairman Kamaluddin Jafri, Managing Director Abul Kashem Chowdhury and Additional Managing Director Md Mujibur Rahman.
A large number of shareholders of the company attended the AGM.
